Starting Out On Duke Of Edinburgh’s Award Training Season
The Squadron’s outdoor training programme began in earnest in April, with day walks and continual preparation culminating in the practice expedition for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Both Bronze and Silver groups were out in the Kent countryside, on a warm weekend, getting in training and experience ahead of their qualifying expeditions. We were pleased to complete this as the first joint exercise with 56 (Woolwich) Squadron in many years. Despite the relative inexperience of both Squadrons’ candidates, the groups did very well to complete their training and enjoy the experience. We now look forward to the qualifying venture shortly.
