Sergeant Steps Up

The Squadron is proud to announce the promotion of Philip Ashbey to the rank of Cadet Sergeant. With the expected changes to the Squadron’s NCO team structure, Sgt Ashbey has shown himself to be a mature and confident leader, and worthy of the role. He brings impressive cadet experience; completing his Staff P2 and taking a role in teaching the Sqn’s recruits, together with working on the final touches of his Silver D of E Award, BTEC in Public Services, and balancing this with a new career in junior management. He remains positive and enthusiastic for all the Squadron’s activities: leading the recent cross-country team, as well as volunteering for many other sporting and adventurous activities over the year. Our congratulations to him on this well-earned promotion.
